The Chiefs had to move Travis Kelce’s VIP suite at Arrowhead to another location after his relationship with Taylor Swift

The Kansas City Chiefs had to move Travis Kelce’s VIP suite when his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift became public knowledge.

The NFL side had no choice but to take special measures when the reports were confirmed, given the high-profile nature of the tight end’s new partner.

It was September 2023 that the relationship was made public and Swift was on a run of attending Chiefs matches in the VIP box. The attention on her was such that it actually became concerning for the fans who were situated below Kelce‘s box.

Kansas City Star reporter Pete Grathoff spoke to a Chiefs superfan named Pam Hatcher about the Chiefs-Bears game in 2023, as Hatcher‘s seats were just two rows ahead of the VIP suite.

Chiefs make a tough call

According to Hatcher, the scene was so chaotic around there that Travis Kelce‘s suite was moved from suite 121 to 119 due to fans’ concerns “about being trampled.” Hatcher states that it’s been much calmer ever since.

“We ended up with like eight Jackson County Sheriffs down there, and over 18 Arrowhead security (members), and they still couldn’t handle it. It was a mess. We left when there was about 10 minutes left in the third quarter, because we were worried about being trampled,” Hatcher said.

“You only can get to it from the elevators and you only can get to it from the club level. After she sat in our section at 121, she moved directly to 119 in that same suite she’s been there ever since. It’s much better. Everybody’s calmed down about it.”
