The worrying posts by Kyle Singler, a former player for Real Madrid, Lucentum Alicante, Obradoiro and Tenerife, have caught the attention of the NBA Players Association.

“We are in contact with Kyle’s family,” NBPA spokesperson Sarah Houseknecht explained in an email to AP.

“I need to make a statement because I feel like my voice is being silenced. Every day I’m being thrown shit in my way. I’ve been abused and mistreated. My community is fucked up. I’ve been made a mental example of and I fear for my life. Every day I look the other way as someone who can be a problem and make things difficult for people, when I’m just trying to be helpful. I feel like there’s a purpose to not value or respect me,” Singler said in a video.

Kyle Singler was selected with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft after being a star at Duke University (NCAA).

His first professional experience was with Lucentum Alicante in 2011, followed by Real Madrid (2011-2012), Detroit Pistons (2012-2015), Oklahoma City Thunder (2015-2018), Monbus Obradoiro (2018-2019) and Iberostar Tenerife (2019).
