NFL fans are gearing up for what should be an exciting 2025 postseason, with 14 franchises set to make their push for the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

There are no shortage of storylines either. Will the Detroit Lions end their drought and finally win a Super Bowl? Will the Kansas City Chiefs make it three Super Bowls in a row? Or will a team like the Buffalo Bills or Philadelphia Eagles step up and provide an upset?

While the questions and storylines don’t stop there, there are some fans who believe the winner of Super Bowl LIX is already a foregone conclusion.

That’s because some numbers and trends point to Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens coming out on top.

Why the Ravens?

To understand why some fans believe the Ravens will come out on top, you have to go back to 2001. That’s when Baltimore, led by a 28-year-old Trent Dilfer, scored 34 points and took down the New York Giants.

Fast forward 12 years later, and a 28-year-old Joe Flacco led the Ravens past the San Francisco Giants – scoring exactly 34 points again.

February 2025 will be exactly 12 years since the Ravens last won the Super Bowl, and with Lamar Jackson having turned 28 on January 7, some believe destiny is pointing to the Ravens scoring 34 points in the Super Bowl and winning.

While this claim is based on nothing but trends and history, it will be interesting to see whether the Ravens will overcome their recent playoff struggles.

In order to do so they’ll have to get past their AFC North rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday night in the Wild Card round. The two teams split their two games in the regular season.

Should the Ravens win they will play one of the Buffalo Bills or the Denver Broncos, with one of the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers or Houston Texans waiting for them in the AFC Championship.
