Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott signed a new contract just before the start of the season and hour before they faced the Cleveland Browns. The deal is worth $240 million and lasts four years, setting an NFL record as the first to average $60 million per season.

Legendary signal caller, Tom Brady shimmed in on the matter as he was in attendance to call his first ever game as a color commentor for Fox in what is known as “America’s Game of the Week”.

“Dak signed the largest contract in the history of the NFL, now he’s got to go out there and earn it,” Brady said. “And 2023 was his best season, he’s coming off of that. But going forward, it’s going to be what happens in the postseason,” he added, and he made his point very clear.

From the highest paid quarterback to the highest paid commentator

While Tom Brady was known for what he did on the field by setting records and wining Super Bowls, he also is part of an elite group even before ever calling a game for Fox, the first of many he will have.

The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is in the first season of a 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox, surpassing former Cowboys signal caller Tony Romo as the highest-paid color commentator in the sport.

Romo calls games for CBS alongside Jim Nantz and everyone knows he is one of the best. While Brady was the best to ever do it on the field, it is still something to be seen if he can beat Romo on this new job.
