Travis Kelce forgets about Taylor Swift and is caught drinking tequila and DJing at a party

Travis Kelce was spotted out in San Francisco this week, attending a Super Bowl lead-up party as speculation continues to build around his NFL future.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end made the appearance just days after private messages involving his fiance, Taylor Swift, became public through unrelated court filings, pulling renewed attention toward the couple.

Kelce, 36, arrived shortly before midnight on Thursday at the Sports Illustrated and Tight End University Tight Ends & Friends event held at Public Works.

According to photos obtained by the Daily Mail, he wasted little time settling in, grabbing a bottle of Don Julio 1942 Anejo tequila soon after arriving with his entourage.

Dressed casually in a white T-shirt, patterned suit and sunglasses, Kelce spent much of the night socialising inside the venue. He was seen chatting and laughing alongside fellow tight end George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers, as music from DJ duo Loud Luxury filled the room.

As the night went on, Kelce took things a step further, jumping behind the DJ booth. He briefly helped remix Swift‘s song Ophelia from her latest album, raising an arm and dancing along to the chorus before handing one of the DJs a Chiefs jacket.

“He DJ’d for about 10-15 minutes,” a source told the Daily Mail. “He played a couple of Taylor songs and seemed to be in a really good mood.”

Super Bowl week, retirement talk and a complicated backdrop

The outing marked Kelce‘s second consecutive night out during Super Bowl week. On Wednesday, he hosted the New Heights podcast Super Bowl party alongside his brother Jason Kelce, a former Philadelphia Eagles centre.

That event took place at Thriller Country Club, where Kelce was also seen stopping to sign autographs for fans gathered outside.

The timing of Kelce’s social appearances has not gone unnoticed. On the field, his season ended earlier than expected after the Kansas City Chiefs failed to advance to the playoffs, falling 14-12 to the Las Vegas Raiders on January 4.

The loss ended hopes of a fourth Super Bowl ring for Kelce and came just a year after the Chiefs reached the Super Bowl and secured back-to-back titles the season before that.

Since then, attention has shifted toward Kelce‘s future. Fans and analysts are waiting for clarity on whether the three-time Super Bowl winner plans to return for another season or step away.

One insider previously told the Daily Mail that Kelce had been feeling “a bit defeated right now,” adding that a decision is coming soon.

“We will know a few weeks after the Super Bowl if he will be returning or not,” the source said. “That is his timeline that he has set to make a decision to play one more year or not.”
