Travis Kelce may have injured one of the Kansas City Chiefs‘ star defensive players ahead of a huge clash with the Buffalo Bills in Week 11 of the 2024/25 NFL season as the 35-year-old pulled off an unwise prank.
The tight end is known for joking around and this time he targeted Chris Jones, the five-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle, during practise on November 13 when he was spotted running towards his colleague during an indoor session.
Kelce then performed a “slam dunk” style move, leaving Jones crumpled to the floor as he did a victory dance before going off to celebrate his successful endeavor as other Chiefs members helped the defender up to his feet.
Fans were left far from happy with the manoeuvre when a video was posted to X.com, formerly Twitter, considering the team’s run of injuries as their season hangs precariously in the balance despite their 100% record.
One user wrote, “Did anyone see their life flash before their eyes because I was yelling don’t hurt each other we need you full throttle on Sunday!”
A second added, “Travis I love you my brother but please be careful.”
And a third commented, “Why is he like this?”
When is the Chiefs vs Bills?
Fortunately, Jones is okay and he will appear in the clash when the Chiefs head to Highmark Stadium on Sunday. Jones has made three sacks and 19 combined tackles thus far as the defense continues to star.
Meanwhile Kelce has made 499 yards from 60 receptions and two touchdowns as he begins to finally find form in the 2024/25 campaign after a very challenging start that saw him scarcely targeted and limited for production.
The Chiefs take on the Bills on Sunday, November 17 with the game expected to kick off at 17:15 ET/14:15 PT.
