Tyrese Haliburton continues to recover from a torn Achilles tendon suffered early in Game 7 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
As a result, he will miss the entire 2025-26 season for the Indiana Pacers and is not expected to return to action until at least the 2026-27 season. But while he recovers, he could use his time to spend with his fiance, Jade Jones, and also enjoy some recipes from his friend and Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffery.

McCaffery’s hidden talent
Connor used to work with Haliburton when he was part of the Pacers’ coaching staff as Basketball Development Coordinator during the 2023-24 season. For this reason, the two couples share a great friendship.
Proof of this was the latest Instagram story shared by the future wife of the two-time All-Star Game player, who revealed a little-known skill of Connor’s.
The photo posted by Jade showed several freshly baked golden chocolate chip cookies, something that might have gone unnoticed if not for the brief caption she wrote: “chef @connor_m30,” Jones added, confirming that it was McCaffery who baked them.

Meanwhile, after beginning their relationship in 2019 at Iowa State University, Tyrese borrowed the Gainbridge Fieldhouse Arena in Indianapolis to make his girlfriend of six years his wife. After announcing their engagement, Caitlin celebrated the good news and showed her support.
For their part, the WNBA and Indiana Fever star and the now assistant coach of the Butler University Bulldogs met during their college years and began dating in April 2023. Since then, they have shared several moments together and surprised fans with social media posts showing their affection.
While Hailburton eagerly awaits her return to the court, Clark will begin her third year in the WNBA and with the Indiana Fever after a turbulent 2025. Injuries to her quadriceps, ankle, and groin limited Clark to only 13 games throughout the year, so she is also eagerly awaiting her return to the game.
The new WNBA season will tip off on Saturday, May 9, when Caitlin and the Fever host Paige Bueckers’ Dallas Wings at Gainbridge Fieldhouse at 1:00 p.m. EST in the league’s opening game.
Meanwhile, the Pacers will host the Chicago Bulls at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday, January 29.
