Must-Add Waiver pickups for Week 2
1. Derek Carr (QB, New Orleans Saints)
Derek Carr showed significant promise in his debut game for the Saints, completing over 80% of his passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns.
Despite a tough matchup against Dallas next, Carr’s ability to work within Klint Kubiak’s offense-and exploit aggressive defensive plays-makes him a waiver must-add for fantasy managers in need of a solid quarterback option.
With explosive receivers like Rashid Shaheed in his arsenal, Carr could provide big returns in Week 2.
2. Isaiah Likely (TE, Baltimore Ravens)
Isaiah Likely had a breakout performance in Week 1, catching nine passes for 111 yards and a touchdown.
With Mark Andrews still regaining full form, Likely emerged as a key target for Lamar Jackson.
Even if Andrews returns as the primary tight end, Likely’s ability to serve as a reliable safety net makes him a valuable addition.
His Week 2 matchup against the Raiders gives him another opportunity to deliver strong fantasy numbers.
3. J.K. Dobbins (RB, Baltimore Ravens)
J.K. Dobbins flashed his big-play ability in Week 1, rushing for 135 yards and a touchdown.
Though injuries have limited his availability in the past, he looked healthy and dynamic against the Raiders.
With a favorable Week 2 matchup against the Carolina Panthers, Dobbins has the potential for another explosive performance.
If you’re in need of a running back, Dobbins is a high-upside option worth adding to your roster.
For those looking to make waiver moves, these players offer the potential to boost your roster and gain an advantage heading into Week 2.
