LeBron James has a privileged physique, no one doubts that. The Lakers star, four-time NBA champion (with Miami, Cleveland and Los Angeles), is still one of the most dominant players – if not the most – at almost 40 years old (he will turn 40 in December).
LeBron’s ‘curious’ feet
However, part of his body is not worthy of the perfection of The Chosen One. And it is nothing new, because ten years ago his feet became world famous. The arrangement of the toes of the lower extremities of King James surprised by its … and now it has come to the fore again, in this case ‘cinematographic’.
If you’re an NBA basketball fan, you should watch Starting 5, the Netflix series that profiles five of the stars of the American basketball league. One, of course, is James, who shares the spotlight with Jayson Tatum, Domantas Sabonis, Jimmy Butler and Anthony Edwards. They are stars of the Celtics, Kings, Heat and Timberwolves respectively.
The entertainment platform’s cameras sneak into the homes, locker rooms, cars or planes of the protagonists. And there, in a physio session with LeBron (where he emphasizes that he spends a lot of time and money taking care of his body) is where the scene takes place in which a hilarious comparison is made.
The cameras, aware of LeBron’s ‘media’ precedents and his feet, focus on that area of his body at a given moment and the Los Angeles star begins to ramble on about them. First recognizing that it is not, precisely, the most graceful part of his body (something to which his children nod in agreement, laughing their heads off).
Like a Porsche 911
And then with a simile that no one but James could have come up with. “Do you know what they look like?” he says to Gabe Vincent, who shares stretchers with the Akron native: “Do you know the Porsche 911, when the spoiler goes up… you know that c… is about to take off. My little finger is my spoiler, so when the c… goes up, it’s over. I can go up to sixth”
“I have the streamlined little finger, it doesn’t touch the ground. I’m like a frog,” says the Lakers forward who, interestingly, does not appear in the series at the wheel of any Porsche. The Maybachs, however, seem to be his preferred choice… perhaps because they have much more space inside to accommodate a giant of 2.06 meters and 113 kilos.
