Who is Melissa Jimenez?
Melissa Jimenez has a degree in Communication and speaks several languages perfectly: English, French, Italian, Catalan and, of course, Spanish. She is the daughter of Antonio Jimenez, chief engineer of the Aprilia motorcycling team, so she shares with Alonso her love for motorsport.
However, the journalist rose to fame for her marriage to soccer player Marc Bartra, from whom she separated at the end of 2021 and with whom she has three children together, who Fernando Alonso would already know.
In her early days as a media professional, she worked for broadcasters such as 25TV and Sky Italia, where she focused on the world of motorcycles. After that, she made the leap to Spain with Telecinco, replacing Lara Alvarez as a reporter in the motorcycling paddock.
After two years, she left the space and in 2022 returned to the circuits, this time for DAZN to cover Formula 1, something that would supposedly have brought her closer to Fernando Alonso.
