Jordan Love is having an NFL offseason to remember after penning a $220m deal to become the league’s top-paid quarterback with the Green Bay Packers, as well as getting engaged to his partner. But who is Ronika Stone? What do we know about her?
The pair have been publicly together for almost four years now after becoming Instagram official in September 2020 and often show their love in small bursts of public displays of affection on TikTok, where Stone has 160,000 followers.
As their love has continued to blossom through the years, they have become increasingly popular together and that could be set to reach new levels of attention after Love‘s new Packers deal as well as their engagement.
The pair had headed for a romantic getaway to Tuscany, in Italy, when Love popped the question on June 24, 2024 whilst they were exploring the Castello di Celsa, a 13th Century castle.
Stone said yes, and Love announced the news to Instagram with a collage of photos captioned, “First step to forever,” accompanied by a ring and heart emoji. That was before a later montage of the moment was dubbed, “A love etched in stone.”
But who is she? Well, Stone was born in 1998 as the daughter of Ron Stone, who played for the Dallas Cowboys, before she graduated from Valley Christian High School in California. She comes from a big football family that also sees her brother play as a linebacker for the Washington State Cougars.
Also, with a track-star sister, Stone is not shy of athletic talent either as she plays professional volleyball for the San Diego Pro Volleyball after spending time in France and Puerto Rico, following her graduation from the University of Oregon Ducks, majoring in journalism.
She was highly successful with the Ducks and will go down in history as their all-time highest career hitting percentage (.336) and the most all-time block assists (429), the only player to produce the latter. She’s also fifth in points with 1605.5.
Jordan Love’s new NFL deal
Love had high expectation and pressure on him when he stepped into Aaron Rodgers‘ shoes after the NFL legend departed to the New York Jets in 2023, and charged with the task of replacing a Packers‘ icon, he did not disappoint.
Love threw for 4159 yards as well as 32 touchdowns as he led his team to the NFC Divisional Round against the San Francisco 49ers, where they were unfortunately defeated 24-21.
As a result, the Packers were keen to lock him down for years to come and offered him a $220m deal which was announced on July 26, making him the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL.
He will earn an average of $53.1m per year through the four year deal, which will expire around the time Love is 30 years old.
