Tia Jones’ career
Jones’ track career began early, achieving professional status right out of high school. In 2013, she gained recognition after breaking national and Junior Olympic records in the 100-meter and 200-meter hurdles at the USATF National Junior Olympics Track & Field Championships.
Her success continued at the 2016 USA Junior Championships, where she equaled the world junior record in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 12.84 seconds at the age of 15.
Despite a challenging year, including an ACL injury that forced her to withdraw from the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships and missing out on the US Olympic team, Tia has shown incredible determination. This resilience is paralleled in Worthy’s budding NFL career, making their partnership a story of mutual support and achievement.

The couple shared their engagement news through a video on their joint Instagram account, which quickly went viral. Worthy proposed on a scenic beach with a backdrop of a heart made from red roses and candles, asking Jones to marry him with a stunning diamond ring.
