Yesterday, Ye, formerly Kanye West, unexpectedly released BULLY V1 on YouTube—a 40-minute experimental project paired with a short film.
Dropped without warning, it features a raw sound, with Ye admitting half the vocals are AI-generated, a choice he later criticized on X, saying, “I actually hate AI now.” Tracks like “Preacher Man” and “Beauty and the Beast,” were first previewed in China last year. The fact that ‘V1’ is in the title may refer to the fact that this release is version one and a different more polished version might drop in the future.
The black-and-white film, directed by Ye and edited by Hype Williams, stars Kanye’s son Saint West in a surreal slow-motion wrestling battle.
Skipping streaming platforms, Ye dropped the album exclusively on YouTube. Listen to the full album below or head on over to YouTube to listen to it directly on the YouTube platform.
