Luka Doncic confronted Wyc Grousbeck, owner of the Celtics who was sitting courtside, during the second game of the NBA Finals that the Dallas Mavericks ended up losing against Boston.
According to several witnesses, Grousbeck reprimanded Doncic, who did not forget the Celtics owner’s complaint and on the next play said something to him after scoring against Derrick White to leave the score at 62-59 in the third quarter.
He apparently aimed a technical foul gesture in his direction, indicating to the referees that Doncic should be charged with a foul for complaining.
Asked about his incident with Wyc Grousbeck, the Mavericks star said: “I’m sorry, I don’t know who owns the Celtics.”
