During a press conference, Roseman made his stance clear regarding the narrative surrounding star quarterback Jalen Hurts, emphasizing that the organization values direct communication with players rather than leaking information to the media. He also labeled recent coverage as “unfortunate,” suggesting that many reports prioritize sensationalism over the team’s internal reality.
Support for Hurts has extended beyond the front office. Former Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson defended him on social media following comments from former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David.
During a podcast appearance, David claimed that opposing defenses were never truly “worried” about Hurts, also pointing to constant coaching turnover as a major issue. The recent hiring of Sean Mannion as offensive coordinator – the sixth in six years for the quarterback – only adds more pressure on his performance.
Despite the outside noise, Hurts remains focused. According to analyst Chase Senior, the quarterback is putting in disciplined work throughout the offseason training to elevate his game.
He is currently training at Temple University in North Philadelphia, where he has been seen refining his mechanics during a crucial phase of preparation.
