Taylor Swift shared in a couple’s special moment during her concert at Murrayfield Stadium, as she witnessed the pair get engaged during her performance.
While performing ‘Cardigan‘, Swift noticed a couple getting engaged in the crowd, and she later admitted seeing the entire incident.
After finishing the song, Swift addressed the audience.
“I love performing in the sunlight because I just saw somebody getting engaged over here,” Swift declared.
“Did it happen?” and upon confirmation, she joyfully exclaimed, “Yesss!” with her fists raised in excitement.
“You have no idea, I never get to see that, right? Because it’s, like, dark usually at night,” she explained.
“But it’s not right now so congratulations. Wow, I just saw that whole thing! Uh, man, that’s amazing. Thanks for doing that at my concert, that’s a big moment… huge!”
Why was Swift in Scotland?
Swift’s Edinburgh show was the first of three in Scotland, marking the beginning of the U.K. leg of her Eras Tour.
The tour has been exceedingly popular, selling out virtually instantly, and fans are growing in anticipation at her future dates in the United Kingdom.
Following her Edinburgh performances, Swift is set to perform in Liverpool, Cardiff, and London. She will return to London in August for five more shows.
Some dedicated fans are already committed to attending as many of those shows as possible, even if it means travelling across the entire British Isles.
Swift’s popularity in Britain is no secret, and she remains one of the most listened to artists in the country, with each new release energizing her fan-base.
Whilst witnessing a proposal is quite a unique event in itself, it is likely to be the first of many unusual occurrences which take place during these Taylor Swift gigs over the course of the summer months.
